We have learned through the dealings of vampires in Supernatural that they cannot be killed by a wooden stake. The only real way to kill a vampire is to decapitate them. We also learn that they choose to sleep during the day even though the rays of the sun are not harmful to them and that they can enter one's home without an invitation. They do have enhanced hearing, smell and sight, which means they can see in the dark, but are also extremely sensitive to light. This supernatural creature is very rare due to the fact that they have been hunted intensively. They also do not have fangs but retractable teeth that extend past their normal human teeth and are as sharp as daggers. |
